Waterford City Childcare Committee
Brief Background to the Committee
The Waterford City Childcare Committee (WCityCC) is one of a nationwide network of County and City Childcare Committees established as part of the Irish Government's National Children's Strategy 2000-2010. As a continuation of the Equal Opportunities Childcare Programme (2000-2006), all Childcare Committees were tasked with developing and implementing local strategies for childcare under the National Childcare Strategy 2006-2010. The members of the Committee are representatives from all stakeholders who have a role and an interest in childcare.
