Grants from Other Sources
1. A Development Grant for Childminders up to a maximum of €1,000 is available through the Childcare Committee. Childminders must be voluntary notified to qualify. Applications for this grant can be made through our Childminding Advisory officer.
2.NCIP Community Childcare Subvention Scheme 2008 -2010 (CCSS)

Please Note:
There is only one application date for new entrants onto the CCSS in 2009.
The closing date for submissions to WCityCC is 16th April 2009.
3. Grants Available for Parent & Toddler groups:
Waterford City Childcare Committee is now processing grants for Parent and Toddler Groups under the National Childcare Investment Plan (NCIP). Small grants of €100 to €600 are now available.
The primary purpose of the initiative is to support existing Parent and Toddler Groups and to help parents interested in setting up a new group in their local area.
Information on grants available: -
Grants are available for toys, equipment & books with limited funding available towards insurance, rent, training or minor refurbishment.
